چکیده
Developing green and sustainable cooling strategies is the key to reducing energy consumption carbon emission for energy-intensive facilities, particularly data centers. One clean strategy geothermal cooling, in which ground used as an infinite year-round stable heat sink. Heat rejection can be achieved by circulating water a closed loop between number of underground reservoirs computer room air handler, this concept proposed investigated analytically paper. It found that capacity very limited due high thermal impedance soil. To enhance instead using all provide steady-state ground, operated periodically switching flow reservoirs, chiller supplemental cooling. As result, operation cycle each reservoir contains recovery processes. An analytical model developed shows efficiency under periodic higher than operation. The will useful conducting techno-economic analysis strategy.

Cooling of X-Ray Emitting Gas by Heat Conduction in the Center of Cooling Flow Clusters
We study the possibility that a large fraction of the gas at temperatures of ∼ 10 K in cooling flow clusters cools by heat conduction to lower temperatures, rather than by radiative cooling. We argue that this process, when incorporated into the so-called “moderate cooling flow model,” where the effective age of the intracluster medium is much lower than the age of the cluster, reduces substant...
متن کاملQuasiballistc Heat Conduction in Transient Grating Spectroscopy
Transient grating (TG) spectroscopy is an important experimental technique to measure mean free path (MFP) spectra using observations of quasiballistic heat conduction. To obtain MFP spectra, the measurements must be interpreted within the framework of the frequency-dependent Boltzmann transport equation (BTE), but previous solutions have restricted validity due to simplifying assumptions. Here...
متن کاملCooling by Heat Conduction Inside Magnetic Flux Loops and the Moderate Cluster Cooling Flow Model
I study non-radiative cooling of X-ray emitting gas via heat conduction along magnetic field lines inside magnetic flux loops in cooling flow clusters of galaxies. I find that such heat conduction can reduce the fraction of energy radiated in the X-ray band by a factor of ∼ 1.5− 2. This non-radiative cooling joins two other proposed non-radiative cooling processes, which can be more efficient. ...
متن کاملTransient Heat Conduction Between Rough Sliding Surfaces
When two rough bodies slide against each other, asperities on the opposing surfaces interact with each other, defining a transient contact and heat conduction problem. We represent each body by a Greenwood and Williamson asperity model with a Gaussian height distribution of identical spherical asperities. The heat transfer during a typical asperity interaction is analyzed, and the results are c...
